"The team played consistently," said Saints Coach Gracia Marshall.

The Saints will host Rudyard Thursday, September 11, and Rogers City Tuesday, September 23.

Rudyard defeated Cedarville 21-25, 25-22, 15-11 and fell to Cheboygan 19-25, 18-25 during a home tri-match and senior Betsy Wileman set a new school individual block record Tuesday, September 2.

Wileman held the single game block mark with five, a record that was set last year, and added two to the record against Cedarville.

Bulldogs combined statistics: Amaris Dolly, 12 digs, three aces, 18 for 18 from the serving line; Betsy Wileman 10 blocks, 10 kills, Emily Jeffreys, 22 of 23 from the serving line; Erin Watson, eight kills; Katia Locke, 10 assists.

The Bulldogs will travel to St. Ignace Thursday, September 11.

Bulldogs 1-9 at Inland Lakes

Rudyard struggled at the Inland Lakes Invitational, posting a 1-9 overall record. The Bulldogs split with East Jordan 25-18 and 22-25 and lost to Pellston 21-25 and 19- 25, Boyne City 15-25 and 14-25, Pickford 16-25 and 21-25, and Sault High 19-25 and 20-25.

Bulldogs statistics: Leah Wallis, named team MVP, recorded 10 kills, 14 digs; Betsy Wileman, 16 kills, 13 digs; Amaris Dolly, 28 digs, five aces, 34 for 34 on serving; Emily Jeffreys, 10 kills, 13 digs, six aces; Erin Watson, 13 digs.

Cedarville defeated Pickford 26-24, 25-21, 25-27, and 25-22 during an Eastern Upper Peninsula Conference match Thursday, September 4.

Trojans statistics: Jessie Duncan, 21 assists; Jenna Arnold, 10 kills, three aces; Billie McLeod, nine kills, five aces; Kacie Simpson, three kills, two aces; Ashley Sweeney, three aces, one kill.

Cedarville junior varsity defeated Pickford 19-25, 25-19, 15-10.

No statistics were available for the Pickford team.

Eagles Defeat Bays in EUPC

Engadine lost the first match 17- 25 to Brimley, but came back to take the next three 25- 11, 25-19, 25-19 Thursday, September 4.

Eagles statistics: Lauren MacArthur, five aces, two kills one block kill; Leah Blanchard, three aces, 11 kills; Kayla Miller, 12 assists, two aces; Kacie Rutledge, two aces, two kills, five assists; Shannon Browning, Lynzee Bigelow, three aces; Elisa Hobbs, one ace, two block kills.

Tourney

The Engadine junior varsity team won the Cedarville Invitational with a 7-1 overall record Saturday, September 6.

The Eagles swept Sault Ste. Marie 24-18, 24-17, St. Ignace 24- 14, 24-16, and Brimley 24-19, 24- 18, and split with Harbor Springs 21-16 and 20-24.

In the championship bracket, the Eagles defeated the host Trojans in the semifinal match and upended the Sault High Blue Devils for the championship. Scores were not available for the bracket games.

"The girls did a tremendous job," said Coach Jessica Winsor. "We are very excited about this team and hopefully [we'll] keep this momentum going."
