Resurfacing work on the Mackinac Bridge causeway south of the toll plaza will begin Monday, September 15, and is expected to be completed by Friday, October 10.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on the bridge during the road work. On weekends, all four lanes will be open to traffic. During weekdays, drivers can expect lane closures throughout the project.

The Mackinac Bridge Authority asks motorists to drive with caution through the construction zone and near the toll booths.

The contractor is H&D, a division of Rieth-Riley Construction Company.
