Timothy Switzer Jr. of Sault Ste. Marie and Tyler Bosley of Goetzville recently enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District in Detroit.

The program allows recruits to enter the Navy and take up to one year to complete prior commitments, such as high school. Using a recruiter as mentors, this program helps recruits ease into the transition from civilian to military life.

They will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy's Recruit Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois.

Mr. Switzer is the son of Michelle and Timothy Switzer of Sault Ste. Marie, and is completing his senior year at Rudyard High School.

Mr. Bosley is the son of Yvonne and Robert Bosley of Goetzville.
