Work Continues at Fitness Center

Residents taking advantage of the new cardiovascular exercise room at Little Bear East Arena when it opens this fall will be able to enjoy cable television while using treadmills and other equipment. Digging the trench for a cable connection Wednesday, September 24, are Recreation Director Scott Marshall with the shovel and Department of Public Works employee Clifford Belonga operating the backhoe. As part of an agreement between the cable provider and the city, the service is free to all city buildings, although Little Bear East had not been previously connected to the service. Work on construction of the room (not pictured) continues, as the walls are up and the roof trusses were set in place last week.
