U.S. Forest Service Hosts Clean-up October 4

The U.S. Forest Service is hosting a volunteer forest clean-up day Saturday, October 4, at 9 a.m. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Castle Rock parking lot near St. Ignace.

The Forest Service has held 29 clean-up days in the past 11 years, using volunteer help to eliminate more than 51 illegal dump sites, and 1,000 tons of trash from the St. Ignace District of the Hiawatha National Forest.
