The St. Ignace News Recognized for Veterans Coverage

Michigan's 11th District of the American Legion recognized The St. Ignace News with a plaque noting the newspaper's ongoing coverage of American Legion activities in the Eastern Upper Peninsula. David Spencer, representing American Legion Post 323 in Pickford as well as his district of the Michigan American Legion Executive Committee, visited the newspaper office in St. Ignace Thursday, September 11, where he presented a plaque, accepted on behalf of the staff by editor Ellen Paquin. A card accompanied the plaque, signed by Pickford Post members. Mr. Spencer explained that the Legion appreciates the newspaper's coverage of veterans programs.
