The Chippewa County American Red Cross is sponsoring a two-day training opportunity for new volunteers willing to respond to disasters. Training will be Friday, September 26, and Saturday, September 27, in Sault Ste. Marie.

The first session, "Fulfilling Our Mission," is Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the second session, "Community Service Overview (Mass Care) and Introduction to Shelter Operations," is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the basement of Huntington Bank on Ashmun Street.
