MacDonald, Brown Win

Couples Tourney in St. Ignace

The foursome of Elaine and Mark MacDonald and Claudette and Ben Brown carded an 18-hole score of 64 to win the championship of the St. Ignace Golf Club Couples Tournament Sunday, September 7.

The team of Nicole and Jim "Jimbo" Brown and Kari and Jo Jo Visnaw finished second at 65.

Janet Brown, Tom Eisler, Sandy and Joe Krause, and the

group of Amy and Ed Lester and Chris and Kevin Matson followed with 66, and Janie Brown, Jim Clement, and Diggy and Scott Clement recorded 67 in the first flight.

Lora and Andy Brown and Cindy and Paul Brown won the second flight after registering a 69, followed by Sally Herbon, Krista Brown, and Ruth and Joe Visnaw with 70, Wendy Colegrove, Tom Colegrove, Liz Colegrove, and Pat Dwyer with 71, and Faye and Jim Massey and Nancy and Chum Frazier with 75.

Long drive contests were won by Wendy Colegrove and Jo Jo Visnaw and closest to the pin on hole seven was Ben Brown.

Bailey, Dalimontie Win Cedarville Golf Scramble

Sam Bailey and Rich Dalimontie won the Cedarville Golf Scramble at the Les Cheneaux Club Saturday, September 13.

John Torsky and Andy Brown finished second in the championship flight and Bob Newell and Dean Haddad placed third.

The team of Bruce Cochran and Steve Birkmier won the first flight, Wayne Hesselink Sr. and Paul Postma took second, and Dave Lofdahl and Keith Izzard finished third.

No team scores were available.

Golfers Fire Aces

Jeff Autore recorded a hole-inone on hole two Saturday, September 13, and Keith Dosch earned an ace on hole nine Tuesday, September 16, both at Les Cheneaux Club.
