Trojans Maintain Perfect 7-0 Record With Win
Cedarville Posts 16th Straight Regular Season Victory
      The Cedarville Trojans remain undefeated at 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the Mid-Eastern Football League after recording a 43-6 conference decision over the North Central Jets Friday, October 10. The win continues the Trojans' winning streak to 16, a streak that began last season.

      The Pickford Panthers took a 20-0 lead early in the first quarter and hung on to post a 34-20 Mid- Eastern Football League win against conference foe Engadine Eagles Friday, October 10. McKinley Portice completed two scoring passes to Zack Mortinsen from 14 and 20 yards out.

Bulldogs Drop Homecoming Contest to Modeltowners
      The Rudyard Bulldogs dropped their homecoming contest to the Gwinn Modeltowners 48-26 Friday, October 10. Gwinn (2-5) raced out to a 34-0 lead late in the second quarter before Rudyard scored its first touchdown on a 14-yard scoring pass from Davin Salo to Arik Hesselink to cut the Modeltowners' lead to 34-6 at halftime.

Heilman Sets Mackinaw City XC Record; Elmblad Ranks First in SAC
      Junior captain Kristina Heilman set a new Mackinaw City girls cross country school record with a time of 21:09 during a quadrangular meet at the Headlands Trails in Mackinaw City Thursday, October 9. The daughter of Charlie and Kathy (nee Swanson) Heilman shattered the record by 24 seconds that was held by Ciara McVey (21:33) in 2007.
