Lila Massey, a lifelong resident of St. Ignace, is doing great. She keeps busy and looks forward to hearing from family and friends.
Doug St. Andrew was a patient in Traverse City last week, where he underwent hip surgery.
The United Methodist Church of St. Ignace will host its 93rd annual turkey dinner Thursday, November 6, at LaSalle High School. Call Donna Pope at 643- 8458 if you would be interested in becoming a volunteer.
Elizabeth Colegrove, daughter of Lisa and Ron Colegrove, will turn four years old October 22. She is enjoying Head Start this year, but still wonders why the bus doesn't come on the weekends.
Jack and Shirley Matthews, St. Ignace residents for many years, will make their home in Traverse City. Mr. Matthews retired from the U.S. Forest Service, and spent 11 years employed at Boyne Mountain. He figures it's time to retire and relax. Both of their daughters, Michelle and Nicole, are graduates of LaSalle High School.
Nick Montie, son of Brenda and Kevin Montie, was home from Adrian College for the weekend to enjoy the homecoming festivities. Nick says he misses playing high school football, and enjoys playing for the Bulldogs at Adrian. Even though the Saints were defeated, he was proud to see his brother, Nate, suited up for the varsity team.
LaSalle High School students celebrated homecoming Friday, October 10, with a Mock Olympics during the school day.
