If this is fall weather, bring it on. What an absolutely beautiful weekend we had for mid-October. It seemed as though every four-wheeler in the county was out and about on the back roads. The weekend provided for a last round or two of golf, a chance to get the blankets on the clotheslines for that fresh dried smell, and also a chance to do outside chores such as washing windows, raking the leaves, and touchup painting.

Congratulations to Casey Spencer, who lives in our area and represented Engadine High School as the 2008 Homecoming Queen during the festivities last Friday night at the football field. Killian Frisch is the Homecoming King.

Visiting at the home of Roy and Karen Livermore were Phil and Carolyn Robinson of Midland. Phil and Roy were co-workers a few years ago in Pontiac and have stayed in touch through the years.

Our youngest son, Andy, was home for an overnight visit before returning to his work duties in Grand Rapids.

The Engadine Eagles volleyball team will host the Cedarville Trojans Thursday, October 23, in an attempt to pack the gymnasium in pink to raise funds for breast cancer research. The "Dig Pink" game will begin with the junior varsity team at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity team.
