(Photograph courtesy of Engadine Yearbook Staff) The Pickford Panthers took a 20-0 lead early in the first quarter and hung on to post a 34-20 Mid- Eastern Football League win against conference foe Engadine Eagles Friday, October 10.

McKinley Portice completed two scoring passes to Zack Mortinsen from 14 and 20 yards out. Mickael Cantin answered on a four-yard run and Portice added one two-point conversion for a 20- 0 lead for the Panthers (3-3) at 10:18 of the second quarter.

Phillip Hood and Michael Klobucher combined on a sevenyard scoring pass to cut the Panthers' halftime lead to 20-6.

Portice continued his aerial offense with a 21-yard scoring pass to Cantin. Josh Kibble scored a two-point conversion to cap the touchdown. Cantin rambled in from 40 yards out for the Panthers' final two touchdowns.

Engadine sophomore David Fowell had his arm and his legs involved in the Eagles' (1-6 overall) two second-half touchdowns as the quarterback completed a 45- yard scoring pass to Ryan Draper, and then ran 15 yards for the Eagles' final score. Klobucher added an extra point kick.
