Albert "Buck" Sharrow (pictured) leads two horses owned by Island West Bluff resident Mike Young to a waiting trailer. They will pasture in Frankenmuth for the winter. Other horses also made the trip, including those from Chambers Mackinac Island Carriage Tours. Jim Chambers from the company said their horses will winter near Pickford and begin returning to the Island in mid-May. Horses will continue to leave the Island through December, with about 20 remaining there over the winter.
