New Downtown Trees Put in Place

New trees were slipped into the ground Tuesday, October 14, and Wednesday, October 15, along State Street in St. Ignace, replacing ash trees that are vulnerable to the beetle emerald ash borer. The Downtown Development Authority spearheaded the project at a cost of more than $1,500. Doing the planting are (from left) John Visnaw, Dan Williams, and Dan Johnson of Sonshine Nursery of Moran.
