Voting Lines Form Early in St. Ignace
Election worker Judy Massey (left) checks the identification of Allen Foster, 18, who is voting in his first election Tuesday, November 4, at Little Bear East Arena in St. Ignace. Arriving to vote more than 30 minutes before the polls opened at 7 a.m., Paula McNamara was first in line, followed by David Litzner. They soon were joined by 25 more residents. Early voting has been busy in past years, although not quite this busy, said City Clerk Renee Vonderwerth. Pictured at center is voter Pattie Tafelski.
Unofficial election results will be posted on The St. Ignace News Web site (www. stignacenews.com) sometime Wednesday morning and can be viewed free of charge by clicking on the Public Notices tab at the top of the page. Results also will be available at the News office Wednesday morning, and will be reported in next week's paper.
