Island Fall Ferry Schedule Announced

Daily ferry departures to and from St. Ignace and Mackinac Island have changed for the fall season.

Departures to the Island for the fall and winter will be from Arnold Transit Company's St. Ignace dock.

As of Sunday, November 2, boat departures are as follows:

To Mackinac Island:

7:30 a.m. (except on Sundays); 9 a.m.; 11 a.m.; 2 p.m.; 4:15 p.m.

From Mackinac Island:

8:15 a.m. (except on Sundays); 10 a.m.; Noon; 3 p.m.; 5 p.m.

This schedule will be subject to change after Saturday, November 29.

There will be no boat service on Thanksgiving day, Thursday, November 27, or Christmas day, Thursday, December 25.

Arnold Transit is also continuing freight service from Dock 3, near the U.S. Coast Guard station.

Two of the three passenger ferry companies have closed for the season. Star Line closed October 26 in both St. Ignace and Mackinaw City. Shepler's Mackinac Island Ferry closed its St. Ignace dock October 19 and its Mackinaw City dock October 26. The company continues to operate its freight boat Mondays through Fridays.
