Yake, Neuschwander
Jennifer and Timothy Neuschwander Timothy Bruce Neuschwander of Pleasanton, California, and Jennifer Elizabeth Yake of St. Ignace were united in marriage Saturday, September 27, 2008, at St. Ignatius Loyola Church with Father All Mott and Father Norbert Landereville officiating.
Thomas Yake served as lector. Organist was Elaine McDonald, accompanied by singer Jean Chargo.
Kristi Harmison was the maid of honor, while Madelyn Yake, the bride's niece, was the flower girl. The groom's brother, Seth Neuschwander, served as best man.
A reception followed at the St. Ignace Golf and Country Club, where family and friends enjoyed dinner and a sunset over the Mackinac Bridge.
The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Judith Yake of St. Ignace. She is a 1999 graduate of Lake Superior State University and is employed as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California.
The groom received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in 2000 and was graduated from Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California in 2005. He is a resident of orthopedic surgery at the University of California in San Diego. He is the son of Bruce and Cindy Neuschwander of Pleasanton.
The couple took an abbreviated honeymoon at the Terrace Inn of Bay View and are planning another honeymoon trip at a later date.
Mr. Neuschwander proposed to Miss Yake March 9, 2008, while cycling in the Laguna Mountains east of San Diego.
They will reside in La Jolla, California.
