Veterans Honored Tuesday

 At right: Veterans Day ceremonies began at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, at LaSalle High School gymnasium, coinciding with the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of the World War I armistice in 1918. The recognition of veterans began with the high school band playing and the entrance of the Color Guard from Coast Guard Station St. Ignace, from left, Seamen David Tam, Thomas Goatley, and Patrick Hogan, and Boatswain's Mate 2 Alessandro Di Maio.  Below: Cedarville High School students (from left) senior Austin Bright, senior and student council president Casey Hakola, and junior Jeremy Sherlund salute the American Flag as teacher Alan Jacobus leads the band in the National Anthem. Boy Scout Mr. Bright and Mr. Sherlund were color guard for the school's annual Veterans Day celebration in the gymnasium Tuesday, November 11. |
