Alice L. Collins, 57, of Rudyard, died Saturday morning, November 1, 2008, at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey.

She was born December 17,1950, to William and Alice Palmer in Otter Lake.

She was a graduate of Otter Lake High School.

She met and married William M. Collins. They began their life together in L'Anse, and later resided in Rudyard.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her husband, William; five children and their families, James Collins of Lapeer, Heather and Matthew Sweeney of St. Ignace, Shawn Collins of Sault Ste. Marie, Joshua and Tabitha Collins of Phoenix, Arizona, and Laura Collins of Rudyard; one sister, Margaret Helin of Lapeer; two brothers, William Palmer of Lapeer, and John Palmer of Green River, Wyoming; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation was held Thursday, November 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the C.S. Mulder Funeral Home in Sault Ste. Marie. Services were Friday, November 7, at 1 p.m. at Fundamental Baptist Church in Kincheloe. Burial was at North Rudyard Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed toward hepatitis C research.
