The St. Ignace Public Library is starting a Children's Book Club geared toward grades five through eight beginning Wednesday, December 3, at 6:30 p.m., at the library.

The first book selected is "Holes" by Louis Sachar, and copies are available for pick-up at the library after November 1.

Friends of the St. Ignace Public Library will provide copies of the book for each reader. Parents, relatives, or siblings are encouraged to read the books and participate in the discussions. The group will meet through May.

Refreshments will be provided and participation prizes awarded.
