Sault DDA Hosts Parade of Lights, Open House

The Sault Ste. Marie Downtown Business Association will host the annual Parade of Lights Friday, November 28, at 7 p.m.

The parade will start at Parker's Hardware and go north on Ashmun to Maple, then turn and finish in front of the City/County building for caroling by the Mount Hope Carolers and the lighting of the city Christmas tree. The Kiwanis Club will have warm cider for sale at the tree lighting.

The Downtown Business Association will host an open house Saturday, November 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, November 30, from noon to 4 p.m., at participating businesses to begin the holiday shopping season. Participating businesses will be marked with a poster in the window. Pictures with Santa will be available from noon to 4 p.m. on both days at Avery Square.
