Band Director Jason Byma leads the students as they prepare for the December 1 Holiday Concert at the school. Seasonal music will fill LaSalle High School gymnasium Monday evening, December 1, during a Holiday Concert presented by the school bands and choirs. The concert begins at 6 p.m. and people are asked to arrive early.

The school's choral groups, along with steel, concert, and jazz bands, will entertain the public for approximately one hour with holiday music and some non-seasonal tunes.

The three steel drum bands will perform a prelude as concert-goers find their seats. Then, the three concert bands, directed by Jason Byma, and three choral groups, directed by Stephanie Terpening, will take turns on the stage. Also performing one number each will be the school's two Music Appreciation Class (MAC) percussion groups.

A suggested donation is requested of $1 for students, $2 for adults, and $5 per family. Proceeds from the concert will be used to support department expenses, including purchasing new instruments and equipment.

Under the direction of music teacher Stephanie Terpening, the St. Ignace Community Children's Chorus lend voices to "Choral of The Bells" by M. Leontovich Monday, November 24.
