Local volunteers are needed to help low to moderate income families file 2008 taxes and claim the Earned Income Tax Credit.

Volunteers must complete Internal Revenue Service (IRS) training. Training is free and can be done online or in person for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, sponsored by the IRS, that works with community organizations to provide tax preparation services free of charge to low income tax filers.
