Performing the swearing in ceremony Friday, December 5, Judge William Carmody thanked newly elected officials for their coming service to Mackinac County, which would be during difficult economic times. "Today it is hard to find people to do public service," he said. "It's not easy to spend the time away from family and the obligations that we all have under these difficult circumstances that we are facing today within our economy."
