This week finds our little town of Engadine saddened by the passing of Larry McEvers, who died Wednesday, December 17. His obituary is printed in this issue of the newspaper. Please keep his wife, Flora, children, and many friends in your prayers.

An evening of music and dancing is planned with Eddie Young, from the Grand Ole Opry, who will be playing with the Mudhole Band Friday, December 26, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Gould City Eagles. The Gould City Eagles is open to the public.

I would love to hear from the snowbirds, as would friends and family who are stuck here in the cold snow. Let everyone know what you're up to while away from the winter weather. Pictures are always welcome. My e-mail address is listed above.

Happy birthday to Ashley Lowery December 25, Donald Ault and Jolene Mantei December 27, Leah Gribbell and Angie McArthur December 28, Tim Mast Sr., Richard Ozanich, Dawn Ionetz, and Amy Zdebski December 29, and Dani Rutledge and James Everhart December 31.

Happy anniversary to Tom and Jo Prater December 26, Dave and Linda Livermore December 28, Richard and Cheryl Ozanich December 29, and Mike and Lisa Butkovich December 31.

Here's wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Enjoy time with your children while they're on Christmas break.
