In a refreshingly anti-materialistic mood, Santa decided to bring the children of the world to his shop (with elves) at Mackinaw City's Church of the Straits, and teach them the real meaning of Christmas Thursday, December 18. That was the theme of the children's Christmas program, and they played it with gusto.
