Chad Fender and Lindsey Ryerse Paul and Barbara Ryerse of St. Ignace and Jean Klotz of East Lansing announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Ryerse, to Chad Fender. Mr. Fender is the son of LouAnn Nash and the late Richard Johnson of Surfield.

Miss Ryerse is currently a senior majoring in education at Grand Valley State University. She is the granddaughter of Jack and Mary Jane Ryerse of St. Ignace.

Mr. Fender is a graduate of the Everest Institute and is employed in Lansing as a licensed practical nurse.

A wedding is planned for May 9 in East Lansing.
