      The St. Ignace Saints wrestling team finished second to the Rogers City Hurons with a 3-2 record at the eight-team Rogers City Super Dual Invitational Saturday, January 12. The team swept the Mancelona Ironmen and Traverse City Trojans junior varsity team during a trimatch Thursday, January 10.

Bishop Earns Top Female, All-American Honors for Cardinals
      Ashley Bishop, a 2002 graduate of Pickford High School, while competing for the Cardinals at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU), received the Female Ryder Athlete of the Year, the highest honor that an SVSU athlete can earn, and was named All-American during her senior season.

      A youth wrestling club has been formed in St. Ignace for athletes from age five to 13. Twenty youngsters are participating.
