      Reuben Martin Kangas Sr., 81, of Sault Ste. Marie, was a World War II veteran and later worked on engineering projects all over the country. Mr. Kangas passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at War Memorial Hospital Long Term Care in Sault Ste. Marie, surrounded by his family.

      Dan Henry Fountain, 48, of Fibre, was the owner of Dan's Place in Rudyard. Mr. Fountain passed away February 1, 2008, at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey. He was born March 10, 1959, in Lincoln Park, to Thomas Fred and Mable Louise (nee Morton) Fountain.
