Saints Bowlers Battle at Rogers City; To Host Matches February 9

The St. Ignace Saints bowling team battled in Rogers City, with the girls falling to the Alpena Wildcats and the boys dropping matches to the host Hurons and the Cheboygan Chiefs Saturday, February 2.

The Saints will host Northern Michigan Bowling Association Conference matches Saturday, February 9, at Gateway Lanes, with the girls battling Cheboygan at 10 a.m. and the boys taking on Alpena at 1 p.m.

Girls Fall to Wildcats

The St. Ignace girls fell to the Wildcats 1,505 to 1,459 in total pins, but the teams split the baker scoring.

Jaimee Bloxsom led the Saints with a high game of 176 and twogame series of 319, followed by Meghann Colegrove, high game of 164 and 291 series, Brooke Allan, high game of 157 and 291 series, Anna Krause, high game of 129 and 256 series, while Sara Tafelski bowled a single game of 187 and Melissa Brown a single game of 115.

Boys Edged Out by Hurons,

Chiefs

The Saints boys fell to the Hurons 1,217 to 933 and 979 to 929, and to the Chiefs 864 to 813 and 932 to 807.

Chris Binger led the Saints against Rogers City with a high game of 257 and two-game series of 483 series, followed by Patric Schlehuber's high game of 224 and 379 series, Jamin Corwin, high game of 203 and 379 series, Josh Feldman, high game of 181 and 340 series, and Andy Mullins, high game of 137 and 267 series.

Against the Chiefs, Chris Binger bowled a high game of 203 and 405 series, Andy Mullins, high game of 190 and 356 series, Patric Schlehuber, high game of 169 and 327 series, Jamin Corwin, high game of 156 and 283 series, and Josh Feldman, high game of 138 and 252 series.
