      The St. Ignace Saints finished second to the Rogers City Hurons at the Straits Area Conference team wrestling championships Saturday, February 9, at Rudyard High School. Seven Saints placed second during the individual tournament.

Saints Take Charge Early in Parents' Night Win Over Bulldogs

      The St. Ignace Saints girls basketball team took charge early during a 60-37 Straits Area Conference win over the Rudyard Bulldogs in front a parents night crowd at LaSalle High School Thursday, February 7. It took overtime play for the Saints to down the Brimley Bays Tuesday, February 5.

St. Ignace Girls, Boys Post Wins; Bowlers Prepare for State Tourney

      The St. Ignace Saints girls and boys bowling teams posted victories during the final regular season matches at Gateway Lanes in St. Ignace Saturday, February 9. Saints Down Cheboygan The Saints defeated Cheboygan in the girls match 728 to 716 and 720 to 711, and split the baker matches.

Local Students Place in Sault Elks Hoop Shoot
      Eight Les Cheneaux Community Schools students took several top places in the annual Elks District Hoop Shoot at Sault Middle School in Sault Ste. Marie in November, and three participated in the Upper Peninsula Finals in December.
