Hello, everyone. Think spring; it's only about three weeks away.

There will be bingo Thursday, February 21, at the Newton Township Hall in Gould City. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with bingo starting at 7 p.m. Players must be 18 years old.

The Newberry Eagles Club will have a fish fry Friday, February 22, from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Club on M-28 in Newberry.

One Lunger Antique Snowmobile Race will be Saturday, February 23, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Luce County Fairgrounds in Newberry.

Dog sled races will be Saturday, February 23, and Sunday, February 24, at the Rainbow Lodge. The Two Hearted River Sled Dog Race is one of the several events managed by Great Lakes Sled Dog Association. Contact Jan Kiesling at (906) 248-5704 for more information.

The annual Woodchoppers Ball will be Saturday, March 15, sponsored by the Tahquamenon Logging Museum at the American Legion in Newberry starting at 7 p.m. Admission is $7.50 and includes lunch.

Local entertainers who want to take part in the 41st Annual Radio Telethon, which will be held at Manistique High School Sunday, March 16, from noon to 7 p.m. All performances will be viewed by the live audience in the Frederickson Auditorium, and broadcast on radio and television.
