Cedarville Students To Compete at District Band Fest This Week

Cedarville Middle School and High School band students earned 19 first (I) division ratings and four second (II) division ratings at the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association District 13 Solo and Ensemble Festival Saturday, January 19, in Pickford.

The next competitive event for area music students will be the District Band Festival at Rudyard High School Thursday, February 21, and Friday, February 22, when 19 area bands will perform.

Cedarville's middle and high school bands will compete in the event Friday, February 22, and are now practicing on musical selections for the competitive program. The Cedarville Middle School Band will perform at 10 a.m. and the Cedarville High School Band will perform at 1:35 p.m. The pieces will be judged, and high scores on the performances can qualify area bands for state level competition.
