Taylor, Bishop
Shelli Nicole Taylor of Sault Ste. Marie and Jesse Robert Bishop of Pickford were united in marriage December 1, 2007, in a late afternoon candlelight ceremony in the Atrium of the Quality Inn Convention Center in Sault Ste, Marie. Pastor Paul Gruenberg of Pickford officiated.
Kristyn Poliski, a friend of the bride, offered a reading during the ceremony. Dr. Sharlene Bailey of LeHigh Aures, Florida, was the soloist, accompanied on guitar by Andre Sawruk. The pianist was Julie Kronemeyer of Pickford.
The bride wore a strapless gown embellished with silver and crystal beading, which highlighted a lace corset back and white fur shoulder shawl. She carried a bouquet of white roses adorned with ivy and ribbons. The groom wore a black tuxedo accented with a midnight blue shirt, white vest and tie.
The maid of honor was Kristen Press of Sault Ste. Marie, accompanied by bridesmaids Kylie Press of Sault Ste. Marie, Sherri Campeau of Brimley, Lindsey Zerbel of Atlanta, Georgia, Michelle Marshall of Grand Rapids, Mandi Munger of Cheboygan, Adele Sabourin of Northville, Judy and Ashley Bishop of Pickford, and Sara Cook of Escanaba. Junior bridesmaid was Loribeth Luepnitz of Brevort, and Sydney Kuenzer of Dafter served as flower girl. The bridesmaids wore midnight blue satin strapless ruched ball gowns and carried white faux muffs. The flower girl wore a white satin gown, which matched the bride's with crystal beading and a matching tiara.

Best man was John David Bishop of Pickford, accompanied by groomsmen Brian Libby, Andrew Barry, Daryl Leese, all of Pickford, Matt Duncan of Cedarville, Frank Zimmerman of Dafter, Andre Sawruk of Sault Ste. Marie, Keith Campeau of Brimley, Freddie Luepnitz of Brevort, and Luke Munger of Cheboygan. Junior groomsmen was Nathan Kronemeyer of Pickford, and Luke Munger Jr. of Cheboygan served as ring bearer. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with midnight blue vests and ties.
The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Pamela Taylor of Sault Ste. Marie, and the granddaughter of Barbara Westover and the late Leon Westover, and the late Margaret and William Gamble, all of St. Ignace. She is employed by War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie.
The groom is employed by the Cedarville Quarry. He is the son of Dave and Jane Bishop of Pickford, and the grandson of John and Julie Kronemeyer, and the late john and Geri Bishop, all of Pickford.
The couple honeymooned at the Langosta Beach Resort in Tamirindo, Costa Rica. They make their home in Pickford.
Huff, Laysell
Erica Jaune Huff of Cedarville and Gary Phillip Laysell Jr. of St. Ignace were united in marriage December 29, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Les Cheneaux Christian Fellowship Church in Cedarville. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The bride wore an ivory strapless Alfred Angelo dress with ivory netting and lace bodice. She wore an ivory fingertip-length veil and tiara, and carried a bouquet of large and small calla lilies with greens.
The bride's sister, Ariel Huff, was the maid of honor and was accompanied by bridesmaids Brianna Freel, Stefanie Mattson, and Krista Seaman. Flower girls were Lily Freel and Haleigh Mattson. The bridesmaids wore strapless royal blue gowns and carried a single calla lily.
JoJo Visnaw was the best man, accompanied by groomsmen Craig Lancour, Jim Mattson, and Billy Fraser. Ushers were Brian Peterson and Thomas Huff, and ring bearers were Avry Freel and Logan Lancour.
The groom's sisters, Tammy Schmidt and Terri Hulstrom, were readers for the ceremony.
A reception was held at Little Bear East Arena in St. Ignace, which was decorated with real evergreens and balsam trees, wreaths, and cedar and pine garland accented with white and blue lights. Candles and calla lilies adorned the tables.
Family and friends from California, Wisconsin, and Michigan attended the wedding.
The couple plan to take a wedding trip to Alaska next summer.
