St. Ignace students in grades kindergarten through seven are producing a calendar in which the theme will be Road Trips, as "March Into Reading" goes into effect. Students will be split up in three teams, red, white, and blue. Readers will "race" from St. Ignace to California by moving cars and earning points.

It's great to hear that Marvin Winkelman enjoys his daily social hour of coffee and visiting friends. Mr. Winkelman, accompanied by Reva Rickley, recently enjoyed a few days in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The occasion was to spend time with his daughter and her family, Virginia and Mike Machalovski, and to capture that warmer air.

Home visiting family and friends recently were Kayley Lasley and her fiancé, Jay Lyon, of New York. Mr. Lyon played for the second year in the U.P. Pond Hockey Tournament. They both had a great time on their visit. Ms. Lasley is the daughter of Willie and Donna LaLonde.
