Lights Installed at M-134 and Nye Road

Edison Sault Electric crew member Josh Curtis, working on the pole, attaches one of the four new streetlights in Hessel at the corner of Nye Road and M-134. Mr. Curtis was assisted by Roger Bawks and John Paquette as they installed lights Friday, February 15. In addition to this light, two of the lights were placed on Cedar Road, and a third was installed at the corner of Cedar and M-134, across from the Nye Road light. Hessel citizens first asked Clark Township trustees for the lights about five years ago, saying the many pedestrians and bicyclists using the road, especially in the summer, needed more light to make the road safer.
