Clark Township Recreation Seeks Calendar Pictures

Photographs of the Les Cheneaux Islands area are sought for a calendar to raise money for The Snows Heritage Park behind Clark Township Hall. The calendar date is 2009, and calendars will be sold for $12.

The Clark Township Recreation Committee is sponsoring a photograph contest to fill the 2009 calendar. All entries must be received by Monday, March 31, with the committee to make the final selections.

Photographs must be submitted in eight- by 10-inch horizontal format. A negative or slide must accompany film photographs. Digital photographs can be accompanied by the image on a compact disc. The contest rules, including specific pixel requirements for digital photographs, are posted at the Clark Township Web site, www. clarktwp. org, under "What's New?"

The entry fee is $2 per photograph. Photographs can be dropped off at Autore Oil Company on M- 134 in Cedarville, or mailed to Autore Oil Company, c/o Photo Contest, P.O. Box 68, Cedarville, Michigan 49719.

Calendar advertising is available at the bottom of each page. One half of the bottom page spot will cost $175, and a whole spot is available for $350.

Calendars will be sold at local businesses and by mail. Mail orders can be placed by sending a request to Les Cheneaux Calendar, c/o Clark Township Recreation Project, P.O. Box 367, Cedarville, Michigan 49719. Shipping and handling is $3 for the first calendar, and $1.50 for each additional calendar.
