The icicles dripping from the roof seem to grow longer and longer as the temperatures drop lower and lower at night, but this too shall pass, as spring is just around the corner.

A plan is being formulated to have a community-wide yard sale Saturday, May 24, during the Memorial Day weekend.

If you're interested, contact Jeannie Donovan at the store in Rexton at (906) 595-7263. She is looking to find out how many folks would be willing to participate.

The Hudson Township Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting the annual sledding party Saturday, March 15, at the hill behind the fire hall, with a promise of lots of fun and food, as well.

Sunrise services for Easter morning will begin with breakfast at the Rexton Mennonite Church Sunday, March 23, at 9:30 a.m. with worship hour at 10:45 a.m.

There will be no Sunday School that day. Also, Wednesday, March 12, will be the monthly TGIW at the Rexton Mennonite Church. All area youth are invited to attend.

The menu includes barbeque pork, and a good time.

The Livermore house overflowed this past weekend, with grandchildren and cousins enjoying time together, including Isaac Livermore of Grayling, along with the Fosdick kids, Charlie, Jessie, and Josie, all of Engadine. We all slept very well come Sunday evening.

Birthday wishes to Cheri Wilder March 11, Karen Livermore and Emily Outwater March 17, Tanner Flatt March 18, Howard Hood and Julie Freeman March 19, Bill Belonga March 20, and a lady who always spreads cheer, Mary Ellen Stephenson, and Bill Hood March 21.

Anniversary wishes to Sam and Nona Fraleigh, and Jim and Doris Papineau, celebrating March 23.

Continued get well wishes to Harold Derusha and all the folks who are fighting the flu.
