Peace Group Plans Vigil in Cheboygan

Northern Michigan peace groups will mark the fifth anniversary of the Iraq war with a vigil Thursday, March 20, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in front of the Cheboygan County Courthouse in Cheboygan.

The Straits Area Concerned Citizens for Peace and Justice, the Emmet County chapter of MoveOn.org, Northern Michigan People for Peace, of Petoskey, and the Little Traverse League for Peace and Freedom, of Charlevoix, will be among organizations and individuals across the nation calling for an end to the war.

APetoskey vigil will take place Wednesday, March 19, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the intersection of Mitchell Road and U.S. 31.
