Joseph 'Joe' Riordan

Joseph "Joe" L. Riordan of Lake Placid, Florida, was a former Trout Lake resident. Mr. Riordan died at age 74 Thursday evening, March 6, 2008, at the Lake Placid Health Care Center in Florida.

He was born in Grand Rapids May 16, 1933, to James and Cecilia Riordan.

He served his country in the United States Army, and was a member of the Catholic church.

He worked for the former McInereny Spring and Wire Company until his retirement in 1991, when he moved to Trout Lake. He moved to Lake Placid 12 years ago, but the family continues to maintain a home in the Trout Lake area.

Mr. Riordan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon; four children and their families, Michael and Vivian Riordan, Deborah and David Stob, Robert Riordan, and Jo Marie and Richard Brown; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Michigan at a later date.

Local arrangements were made by Scott Funeral Home in Lake Placid.
