Emma Feneley

Emma Feneley, 91, a longtime Engadine resident, died Tuesday afternoon, March 4, 2008, at Masonic Pathways in Alma, where she had been residing for the past three years.

Born February 2, 1917, in Engadine, she was the daughter of Adam and Julie (nee Kreger) Krause.

She was a devoted homemaker.

Mrs. Feneley was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Luce County Chapter 364 and enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by five children and their families, Joanne and Ted Kisabeth of Curtis, Kenneth and Judith Feneley of Clare, Patrick Feneley of Alma, Ross and Terry Feneley of Battle Creek, and Peggy and Kenneth St. Charles of Freeland; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Reisner of Deckerville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglass, who died in 1995, and five siblings, Herbert, Arthur, Lona, Hilda, and Lydia.

Visitation was Sunday, March 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry with an Order of Eastern Star memorial conducted at 6 p.m. Services were held Monday, March 10, at 10 a.m. at the Engadine United Methodist Church in Engadine, with the Reverend Saundra Clark officiating. Burial will take place at the Engadine Cemetery.
