Showings Planned of Island-made Film

Filmed on Mackinac Island and in Traverse City last fall, "Mr. Art Critic" will be shown at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island Friday, July 11, and Saturday, July 12, with two showings each night at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Featuring artwork by Island artists, the tale is about a high profile Chicago art critic, M.J. Clayton, who is known for his heartless commentaries. Emmy-nominated comic actor Bronson Pinchot portrays Mr. Clayton.

Rich Brauer, owner of Brauer Productions of Traverse City, wrote the film script and served as the cinemaphotographer.

The independent film will be shown at the East Lansing Film Festival March 16 and 17.
