Keith Lloyd Simons of Rudyard formerly worked as an industrial supplies salesman. In 1996, he moved to St. Ignace, where the family owned and operated a motel before moving to Rudyard in 2000. Mr. Simons was 61 when he died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie.
He was born August 15, 1946, in Flint, to George Bliss and Fanny Fay (nee Parker) Simons.
Mr. Simons lived much of his life in the Grand Blanc area. He married Linda Maire Windom June 6, 1969, in Tuscola County.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his dogs, and working with a variety of animals on his hobby farm.
Mr. Simons is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons and their families, Norman and Toni Simons of St. Ignace and Daniel and Tabitha Grogan Simons of Wyoming; three grandchildren, Crystal, Deborah, and Matthew Simons; two sisters and their families, Clara and Joe Dotson of Kentucky and Phyllis and Gerald Gibbs of Millington; two sistersin law, Marilyn Simons of Linden and Vickie White of Millington, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Simons was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, George Simons, and one sister, Marion Fay Simons.
A memorial service was Saturday, March 15, at the Fundamental Baptist Church in Kinross. Pastor Brian Mason led the service.
Reamer Galer Funeral Home of Pickford assisted the family with arrangements.
