Edward Rushford Edward Rushford, 64, of Newberry, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at his home, under the care of North Woods Hospice. Born November 28, 1943, in Gould City, he was the son of Lemia and Nancy (nee Brown) Rushford. Mr. Rushford served in the National Guard and was formerly employed at the Carousel Motel, recreational parks, and recently as an adult foster care home provider. He enjoyed riding motor bikes, fishing, bowling, woodworking, and collecting old cars. Mr. Rushford is survived by five children and their families, Eddie Rushford Jr. of Racine, Wisconsin, Suzette Collins of Portsmouth, Ohio, Donald Rushford, Brian Rushford of Portsmouth, and Billy and Bobbie Rushford of Ionia; four stepchildren and their families, Marlene and Tom Williams of Kinross, Nora Lynn Gage of Newberry, Vernon Gage of Manistique, and Myra and Jamie Kimbler of Newberry; 19 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; five siblings and their families, Chuck Rushford of Gwinn, Shirley and Clarence Brown of Engadine, Della and Mike Bennett of Red Cliff, Kentucky, Nancy and Rex Skea, and Larry Rushford, all of Crystal. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nora Jean, and a brother, David. Services will be held at a later date. Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry assisted the family with arrangements. |
