Mike Massey retired March 31 from the St. Ignace post office. He began his career in 1986 at the Cedarville post office before he was transferred to St. Ignace in 1990 by then-Postmaster Ollie Boynton.
Mr. Massey is known by co-workers for his ability to tackle any project, from fixing garage doors and working on vehicles to repairing lock boxes.
"Mike was so cooperative and easy to work with," remembers Mr. Boynton. "He never said, 'This is not my job.' There wasn't a project he couldn't handle."
Mr. Massey said he plans to relax and do some painting when the weather improves. "It's been a great job," he said. "I had a lot of fun working with the crew here."
