William Collins
      William Thomas Collins, 86, of Cedarville enjoyed a career in medicine in Ohio, before moving to his cottage on the Snows Channel. Dr. Collins passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in Traverse City. He was born February 22, 1922, to John M. and Elizabeth (nee Ewing) Collins in Omaha, Nebraska.

      Howard S. Owens, 72, of St. Ignace passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008. He was born May 31, 1935, in Sault Ste. Marie, to Howard and Johanna (nee Carlson) Owens. Mr. Owens was a licensed electrician. He worked as a pit boss at Kewadin Casino in St. Ignace for 20 years.

      A memorial service is planned for Trout Lake native Lois Flurry (nee McMillan) Saturday, May 3, at Lake View Cemetery on M-123 in Trout Lake at 2 p.m. Aluncheon will follow at Trout Lake Township Hall at 2:30 p.m. Mrs. Flurry was residing in Grand Rapids when she died in December 2007.
