The Engadine Band Boosters are kicking off spring with a "Dairyland Donkey Basketball Show" Sunday, May 4, at 2 p.m. in the high school gymnasium in Engadine.

There will be four teams: two of students, one of faculty, and one of local clergy. Tickets are $5 in advance, or $7 at the door. You may also purchase tickets from Janice Wagner at the school library, or from the school.

The Engadine United Methodist Church will have a free community meal Wednesday, April 30, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the church. It will be a "breakfast for supper" meal. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. a film, "Everyone's Hero," will be shown. Christopher Reeve was the original director of this computer-generated animated feature.

The Naubinway Spring Fest will be Saturday, April 26, featuring an auction and fishing contest. The auction will be at the Naubinway pavilion beginning at noon.

All money raised will go to the fund that finances the Fourth of July fireworks and other community events.

Happy belated birthday to Mike Bigger, who celebrated April 19. Happy birthday to Briana Mae Biang April 25 and Sheila Fosdick April 29.
