Mark your calendar for Sunday, May 4, at 2 p.m., when the Dairyland Donkey basketball show, sponsored by the Engadine Band Boosters, will take to the court with four teams comprised of two student teams, one of local clergy, and one faculty. The cost is $5 in advance or $7 at the door.

Congratulations to the Engadine band, as musicians head to the state competition.

Sometimes meetings take place near the store for those stopping to get the paper or gas, and on occasion someone is visiting and we'll see them at the store. Such was the case for former Rexton resident Diane Cobe Bricco and her husband, Pat, who were visiting her folks, Darlene and Randy.

Ron and Frances Jones have returned from their winter haven in Florida.

Gwen and Bill Black, from Indiana, returned for the weekend to their former stomping grounds, as well. Gwen is the daughter of former pastor Truman Miller and his wife, Dorothy.

The Engadine Consolidated Schools Education Foundation and Sports Boosters Spring Fling is on the calendar for Saturday, May 10, beginning at 4 p.m.

The annual mother-daughter event will be Wednesday, May 7, at the Hiawatha Club activities building, sponsored by the Rexton- Mennonite Church and the Naubinway Fellowship Church. The theme is "Hats Off to Mom." Those who plan to attend should contact Kathy Miller at (906) 477- 8090.
