Job Fair at Little Bear East April 25 To Recruit Workers

Twenty-three employers and colleges will be represented at a Job Fair/Career Day at Little Bear East Arena in St. Ignace Friday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to noon, sponsored by the St. Ignace Chamber of Commerce and Michigan Works! It is open to the public and free of charge.

The fair will focus on employment and career opportunities in the area, and presenters will include Michigan State Police recruiters, Kirtland College, a heavy equipment operators school and a truck driving school, both of Escanaba, and many local businesses seeking seasonal employees.

The fair is for adult job seekers as well as students, said organizer Janet Peterson.

Job seekers should come prepared to speak with potential employers. Employers who would like to participate may do so by calling the Chamber of Commerce office at 643-8717.
