The Family Fun Afternoon April 26 at Kinross Recreation Center drew 51 adults and 61 children attending.

The event was planned by the Kinross Early Childhood Development team. Volunteers who helped set up, clean up, and serve ice cream included Trevor Quinlin, Gerry and Floyde Peffers, Jill Kachur, Carrie Novak, Don and Alex Plumm, Amber Parker, Chasidy Keyser, and Sheldon Adair.

Carrie Novak and Jill Kachur planned, created, and implemented the literacy games. The children had so much fun.

Many public service employees participated. Officer Kent Wallace, from the Kinross Police Department, fingerprinted 61 children.

The Kinross Ambulance Crew of Nick Gennetta, and Rick and Amanda Paulson were there to show kids what that job entails. Firefighters Harvey O'Brian and Brian Bensel, from the Kinross Fire Department, let the youngsters try on helmets and operate the sirens.
